THE DESIGNER

Born and raised in Sweden, Jannike Sommar is a queer fashion designer that screams quietly through bold colors and naive-yet-purposeful designs. Working with expressive motives and signature characters, Jannike creates garments that celebrate individuality and joyful self-expression.

Their unique, almost humorist aesthetic was developed from their background growing up between the city and the nature, shaped by curiosity, sensitivity and a fascination with colour.

With the ambition to create their own universe through fashion, Jannike moved to Belgium at a young age to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, where they were one of six Master’s students to graduate in 2016.

After presenting their master collection, Jannike kept pushing their instantly-recognizable style defined by the use of bright colors, prints, patchwork and signature “in your face’” figures. Always standing for equality, Jannike has collaborated with several art performances, drag queens, musicians and in 2020 they moved to Paris to create their brand.

Challenged as a non-conform and introspective person in a world dominated by norms and extroverts, Jannike Sommar created a visual language that loudly expresses pride.

Pop Unisex Streetwear: Building on this maximalist visual language, Jannike Sommar is a Paris & Stockholm-based fashion label creating unisex clothing that celebrates self-expression, individuality and joy. Inspired by pop art, vibrant colours and playful design, the brand combines bold aesthetics with high-quality craftsmanship.

At the heart of the collection are premium sweatshirts, hoodies and T-shirts, complemented by accessories that reinforce the brand’s strong pop visual identity. The range is continuously evolving and also includes denim pieces, developed with the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship and creative design.

Defined by vibrant colours, playful motifs and oversized silhouettes, the collection is designed to bring joy while celebrating individuality.
